BLANKING Solution Pack: software solution for laser, punch press and combination machines

The pack comprises the following applications:

AP100 EU
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
VPSS 3i BLANK

The production flow initially involves assigning sheet metal attributes to 2D and 3D drawings and saving them in a database using AP100EU and PRODUCTION DESIGNER.

By uploading part lists to VPSS 3i BLANK, nesting, associating cutting attributes, associating the part unloading device, generating machine codes and simulating processing can all be done automatically.
The interface is simple and intuitive for users to make any manual changes.

The developed production plan will be saved in a database and called up by the machine using the specific bar code reader.

BROCHURE

IMPORTING AND DEVELOPING NATIVE 3D FILES

PRODUCTION DESIGNER lets the user import and convert the main native formats of 2D and 3D CAD drawings (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Inventor, Catia V5, ProEngineer, Step, Iges) in sheet metal.
By recognising special processing (such as tapping, deformation, markings), the CAD system can be used to create attributes for the CAM environment.
The AMADA bending algorithm is used to calculate development but dedicated bend allowance tables can also be created.

AUTOMATIC NESTING MODULE FOR PROCESSING FLAT SHEET METAL

VPSS 3i BLANK can be configured based on customer needs.
This feature means that the insertion of micro-joints, the destruction of scrap material, assignment of an optimal technology for the geometry to process and the sorting of processing on the sheet metal can all be done automatically.

AUTOMATED MANAGEMENT OF LOADING/UNLOADING SYSTEMS

VPSS 3i BLANK can be used to manage systems to unload individual processed parts. The activation of suction devices, opening of arms, speed of the unloader and definition of the unloading layout can all be programmed by the technical department.

MANAGING THE SHEET METAL WAREHOUSE

VPSS 3i BLANK lets you manage the sheet metal warehouse including sheet metal offcuts or skeletons from previous processing.
This enables the programme, during the automatic nesting phase, to select the optimal formats for the lot to produce. When several formats are selected, the programme will use the format with the highest sheet utilization.
